Expectations

The Silo Event Center is all about making your event as stress free as possible, and  we would love to host your special event in our beautiful barn structure. We want to try and make your event the best event possible with our recommended caterers and vendors. Our temperature controlled venue can be the perfect event setting all throughout the year.

Event Size                      

We can accommodate 400 people banquet style, 500 stadium seating & Reception style, depending on the event needs and floor plan. Our upstairs space can accommodate 70 people banquet style and 100 people stadium seating, also depending on the event needs and set up. The front lawn space, side patio area, and the back-barn patio and lawn area can also be used for your event.

What’s Included

The Silo will furnish our in-house 6-foot or 8-foot banquet tables, our 72-inch round tables, high top tables, classroom tables, or smaller 48-inch round tables. We will also provide our beautiful, wooden X-back chairs and 300 of our white, wooden folding chairs with the padded seat bottom for outdoor ceremony use. The Silo event managers will work with you closely to put together a floor plan, and then our staff will set up and breakdown the tables and chairs needed for your event. We will also take care of the basic building clean up once your event is over.

Packages

The Silo offers one or two day rentals depending on your set up and event needs. The two-day rental gives you exclusive use of the building for 8 hours the day prior to begin decorating and setting up, and up to 16 hours the day of your event. The two-day package includes the use of the main room, outside patio and lawn space, and our meeting room located on the second floor. The meeting room is ideal for the rehearsal dinner the night before, and it can also be used the day of your event to get ready. For our wedding groups, we now have a Bridal Farmhouse located on the property for your convenience. This intimate place allows the bridal party, other family members, and friends to relax and enjoy getting ready for the big day together! All events must conclude by 11:00 pm on weekdays and midnight on the weekends.

For any event booked at The Silo, we ask for a refundable damage deposit of $500 for the main event room and a $200 damage deposit for our smaller event room in cash or check form. Once your event is over, the event staff and cleaning crew will ensure no damages, incidents, or excessive clean up have occurred, and the damage deposit will be returned to the booking party.

Alcohol

We have our liquor license and all alcohol must be purchased through us. Since our property is licensed, we cannot allow any outside alcohol on the property. We provide bartenders, $25 per bartender per hour. We have in-house alcohol offerings but if you would like to provide a specific brand of alcohol, we can order it if it is distributed in Kentucky.  You can choose to offer a full or partial bar, or a host or cash bar. Speak with an event manager for more details. Finding outside alcohol on the property results in the booking group’s forfeiture of the damage deposit.

Photography

You may hire the photographer of your choice for your event. If you would like suggestions, please let us know. You may schedule bridal and/or engagement photo sessions on the property if you have scheduled the venue for your event. Our property has beautiful backdrops for your pictures. Just contact us to schedule the property for a photo shoot. Please have your photographer contact us to discuss using our location for the photo shoot.

Exclusivity

One-Day, weekday rentals will give you access to the venue for 8 hours. Our two-day package will give access to the property for 8 hours the day before, up to 16 hours the day of your event and exclusive use for at least 12 hours.

Vendor Policy & Access

We have an open vendor policy. We have an approved list of vendors that we have worked with quiet frequently, but if you would like to use a vendor not on our list, all we need to do is approve the vendor and update them on our policies. We would love to schedule an appointment with your vendors to help familiarize them with our event space. On the day of set up or the day of your event, vendors can utilize the service driveway and entrance to load and unload their equipment/food/decorations. Vendors are not allowed to drive or park on the grass. Any outside vendor that is not on our approved list will need to provide us with their license, insurance, and any other valid documentation needed.

We also offer a full, commercial kitchen on-site for the convenience for your caterer or food provider. Only Licensed Caterers are allowed full kitchen usage at a fee of $250.00 with proof of their caterer’s license and copy of their insurance. For food providers just needing to use our kitchen as a “holding” room, we require a refundable cleaning deposit of $100.00  to ensure the kitchen is rightfully taken care of and cleaned. It is the booking party’s/food providers/caterer’s responsibility to remove all food items and clean the kitchen after use.

Hotels

We have a recommendation of nearby hotels where you can stay if you or your guests are traveling from out of town. There are four major hotels located right down Fort Campbell Boulevard in Hopkinsville within a 3-mile radius. Six major hotels are located just 8 miles to the south in Oak Grove, Kentucky. These hotels include a Holiday Inn, Comfort Suites, Hampton Inn & Suites, LaQuinta Inn & Suites, and Candlewood Suites.

Parking

We have plenty of on-site, paved parking to accommodate your event guests. We also provide an overflow, gravel lot for your convenience. We kindly ask that there is no parking or driving on our manicured lawns.

Smoking

There are designated smoking areas on our site for your smoking guest. We have cigarette receptacles to dispose of all smoking related trash. We do ask that guest use our designated areas outside.
