Tell us a bit about your wedding! What inspired your choices?
We wanted a beautiful winter wedding with rich colors! Our wedding had predominantly cabernet red and white as the main colors, with gold accents. The bridesmaids wore a cabernet-colored dresses, with the groomsmen in light grey suits. We wanted Hunter to also stand out, so he wore a navy suit.
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
Our favorite part was the wedding ceremony. Being pronounced husband and wife in front of our dearest family and friends was something special for the both of us.
How did you and your partner meet?
We met during high school, through our FFA chapter when we went on a trip to FFA national convention and ended up dating a little while later, before we went to prom together. The rest is history, and we’ve been together ever since!
Tell us the story of your proposal!
Hayden proposed at the place where we eventually hope to build our dream home!
What are the two of you planning on tackling next in life?
Enjoying being married!
What is something unique you incorporated into your wedding/reception?
During the daddy daughter dance, after the first chorus, we invited other dads and daughters to the dance floor. We also did a reverse anniversary dance to help build the dance floor. For desserts, instead of having just the traditional wedding cake we also had mini pies for our guests to enjoy!
Do you have any advice for other couples who are planning their own wedding right now?
Enjoy this process but keep in mind that a wedding is just one day, it’s the marriage that matters in the end.
What has been your favorite part about working with The Silo?
They made the set up and cleaning up easy. We decided to rent the table clothes and chargers with them, which made cleaning up much easier for our family after the reception.
