Tell us a bit about your wedding! What inspired your choices?
To anyone who asks, I always describe our wedding vibe as "Goth Stevie Nicks," incorporating both some hippie and rock n' roll elements. Our colors were black, neutral tones, gold, and silver.
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
Our favorite part of our wedding day was partying with our friends on the dance floor after officially becoming Mr. and Mrs.!
How did you and your partner meet?
We first met in college over ten years ago, but reconnected again in 2019 through mutual friends.
Tell us the story of your proposal!
Brandon planned a Spring Break trip to Savannah, Georgia, which was somewhere he always remembered me saying I wanted to visit. On our second day in Savannah, we walked around the city and ended up in Forsyth Park. He sweetly pulled me away from the crowds around the fountain (there were two weddings going on there at the time), and took me to a bench and proposed with the ring I had unknowingly designed a month earlier. I said yes and we called both of our moms, then celebrated with a haunted pub crawl that night.
What are the two of you planning on tackling next in life?
Brandon is working toward completing his master's degree in music education in 2025 and we are currently planning our honeymoon in London in June of this year.
What is something unique you incorporated into your wedding/reception?
We used old vinyl records attached to a gold stand as our seating chart and gave guests vinyl record coasters as our favors.
Do you have any advice for other couples who are planning their own wedding right now?
Invest in Day-of Wedding Coordinating services if you can. The Silo was a perfect option for us! We are a busy couple, and they were able to help us with so many details that we would have not thought of otherwise.
What has been your favorite part about working with The Silo?
The Wedding Coordinating services! The Silo staff members made the months and days before the wedding seamless, and then they guided us through the big day perfectly. They patiently answered our countless questions and kept the already challenging planning process from being completely overwhelming.
